Deathmarch latest

I’m glad to say I’ve now rewritten that unsatisfactory plot-thread in Bringer of Light: thirteen chapters in four weeks, ninety percent of the words being new – and hopefully improved – ones. That was hard.

This merely leaves the final chapters (eleven of them, as things stand) to be reworked. From where I’m sitting, almost none of the original writing is going to survive this process. And this is fine, provided (a) the new version works, (b) I can complete it in time to run it past those hardy souls who’ve volunteered to act and first readers, (c) they largely agree with me on point (a) and most importantly of all (d) so does my editor, when she gets finally to see it.
