A few parish notices

Department of Positive News: I’ve discovered that the mass-market paperback of Principles of Angels will be getting another print run. This should make the first editions, with their data-rich cover-copy, valuable collectors’ items … (!)

Department of Proper Education: Liz Williams, author of some damn fine SF, as well as the spiffing Inspector Chen series, is running a 2 day workshop for SF writers who want to get published. The date will be 21-22nd November, the venue will be Glastonbury, and the cost will be £120 (excluding accommodation). Liz is a practised teacher, with a decade of experience as an SF pro. Places are limited to 10 and they’re going fast. Please email her at liz(at)arkady(dot)org for more info.

Department of PR Teasers: I’ve recently done my first face-to-face interview, which was rather more nerve-racking than the usual ones where I get a chance to edit my answers later (as I remember I spent most of it talking about food); I’ll say who it’s for and when it’ll appear in due course. I’ve also got an interview and story coming up in a well-known SF media magazine; again, I’ll give details nearer the time (though I understand they’re already trailing me, which is nice). What I will say is that the story in question is a prequel story to Guardians of Paradise, and gives an insight into a character who makes her debut in that book.
