I now have the official release date for the electronic edition of Downside Girls: 24th September. I will be running a giveaway, so watch this space. The print edition is going to be launched at Novacon at which, as I may have mentioned before, I am the guest of honour.
More SFXy stuff
As you (may) remember, a couple of months ago I had a lovely day out with two very cool people (specifically Kim Stanley Robinson and Alastair Reynolds), the results of which you can read Real Soon Now in SFX magazine. Following on from this SFX have kindly asked me to contribute to their Book Club […]
Andromeda’s Offspring
The above fanzine is relatively new, but I hope we’ll be hearing a lot more about it. For the current issue the editor was kind enough to interview me about my wicked fannish past. She has also included an original Justina Robson story, which will be a treat for anyone (like me!) who loves Justina’s […]
Queen of Nowhere cover reveal (2 of 2)
And now, the actual cover: I think this might just be my favourite Hidden Empire cover so far. I especially love that bronze/gold effect on the water (although you’ll discover if you read the book that this is not water you’d want to swim in).
Queen of Nowhere cover reveal (1 of 2)
After recently turning in the final edits on Queen of Nowhere my editor has given me the official word that I can release the cover copy. And here it is… “When paranoia is a way of life, trust doesn’t come easily. The Sidhe look like us. They live amongst us. What they lack in numbers […]
My Edge-Lit schedule
Here’s what I’ll be up to this Saturday in Derby: 12pm – Building Characters Through Questions. Workshop, with me and whoever books a place on it. There may be an exercise, but there won’t be any homework. 2pm – Have the Limits of SF Become Blurred? Panel, with John Jarrold and Justina Robson. I’m not […]
Cover reveal
Here it is, the cover for my upcoming chapbook from Clarion Publishing: Cool’ ain’t it?
Hanging Around in Bookshops
The above activity is one I don’t get to indulge in as much as I’d like. However, as I mentioned before, I will be doing it this weekend, specifically between 6pm and 7.30pm at Clevedon Community Bookshop, Clevedon, Somerset. I’ve been trying to decide what I’ll read: an excerpt from Bringer of Light? The opening […]
SFXy stuff
A couple of weeks ago I had a day out in Bath. I’d hoped to visit the Roman baths, and maybe mooch around ogling the architecture, but by the time we’d fought our way through the storm lashing the English countryside and the A4 traffic-jam and then found somewhere to park it was almost time […]
Downside Girls
So, that Sekrit Project … I’m delighted to announce that Clarion Publishing will be putting out three of my ‘Angel’ stories (a triptych, I might say were I feeling pretentious), under the title Downside Girls. The three stories are linked, both to each other and to Principles of Angels, and they give insights into the […]
