The shape of things to come

Here, in a not quite exclusive (cybermage saw it first) is the cover of Bringer of Light, by graphic artist Nik Keevil:

Having bribed you with pretty (and it is very pretty – definitely the best Hidden Empire cover yet), I’m now going break the news that the book is going to be late. It’s no one’s fault, not even mine for turning it in only five minutes before the deadline, but the publication date has been moved from July to September, the 15th to be precise. Watch this space for details of the signing and launch party at my favorite bookshop.

Yes, for once I don’t have ‘cover envy’ for either you or Suzanne.

Very nice, maybe this time I’ll be able to make the launch party.

Hopefully. I’ll post the date here as soon as I have it.

I just found about your book from floor-to-ceiling-books. It’s so good to find a published science fiction writing on the web. I will look to your books for inspiration and ideas. I’ve written a science fiction novel and I’m now researching on the query letters to begin that process. Your book covers look very good. I’m excited to find them in the book stores.

There’s so much stuff out there on the net – good and bad – that I tend to go with personal recommendations. Thanks for taking one and tracking my work down!

Good luck with your own writing; it can be a long hard slog to get from dream to publication, so don’t give up.

I still want to do one of your books.

And I’d still like you to! Sadly, though I get input into the covers, I don’t get to chose the artist.
