Eastercon

Eastercon was good overall, even if my usual tendency to party was somewhat curtailed by playing host to a stomach bug for some of the weekend and the need to get back to a hotel-cum-building site several miles from the con every night.

My two panels went fairly well, though both were on the day of being ill, so I wasn’t at my best. The ‘Rock Band’ demo was fun once we got going (we were running a bit late as we needed to find a small child to set the game up); I was crap at it, but so was everyone else. Tim Powers was amazing (cue screaming fan-girl moment), both as a speaker and just hanging out with people in the bar.

I had some pleasant moments of ego-boosting, such as seeing copies of Principles of Angels on several dealers’ tables, and being asked to sign them by various people including genuinely famous authors. I also had a chance to catch up with many friends I don’t see enough of.

And now, sleep.
