As you (may) remember, a couple of months ago I had a lovely day out with two very cool people (specifically Kim Stanley Robinson and Alastair Reynolds), the results of which you can read Real Soon Now in SFX magazine.
Following on from this SFX have kindly asked me to contribute to their Book Club feature, in which SFF writers pick a book, which the magazine readers are then invited to read and comment on. Said writer then says what s/he likes about the book. I've chosen Mary Gentle's Golden Witchbreed, which I believe to be a neglected Science Fantasy classic. The piece won't appear until this winter, but as my chosen book is a hefty tome, I thought I'd mention it now.
